Easter 2012

We went Easter camping with our good friends Ben & Jodi. We love spending time with them and I even played poker for the first time. I'm sure Joel's memory will fail him when it comes to who won, so I better record it. Joel didn't. I did. I pretty much called his bluff and took all of his chips. It was memorable. I love camping. I also love going home after my 3 day limit. We were all filthy dirty! DSC_0015a_1

The kids liked playing games. That is until we pulled out "Old Maid." Jodi and I told them there was only one rule and that was no crying if you were the old maid. Didn't happen. We had crying kids. _1 DSC_0023a_1 DSC_0026a_1 DSC_0039_3a_1 DSC_0055_4a_1 DSC_0071_2a_1 DSC_0075a_1

We sent the kids on a scavenger hunt. Boys vs. Girls. Only regret...we should have made the list a LOT longer. The boys only needed to find a worm to win and the first rock Spencer looked under he found one. More crying...by the other team.

Let's play catch up! (March 2012) Showers, parties, concerts, derbies and general conference

We are just a little bit excited about the fact that there is going to be a new addition to the Slade grandkids! My kids have been spoiled rotten by their Aunt Alicia for years and now it's time for her to start her own family. Olivia is one lucky little girl. Alicia will no doubt be a awesome mom! We had a baby shower in St. George at Red Lobster for Alicia and baby Olivia. This is going to be one well dressed and spoiled little girl! It was so fun! alicia showerblog1 alicia showerblog2

It's nice to know people who know people. Especially when the people they know throw amazing birthday parties for a living. It wasn't a "real" birthday party, but Ty didn't know that. He just got to play with his cousins, drink pop, eat cake pops and hold baby bunny rabbits. He might think it's pretty cool when the pictures of this party show up in a book coming out this fall. Glad I had my camera to snap some pictures. Farm blog1

KELLY CLARKSON CONCERT Question:What could be better than your husband giving you a ticket to see Kelly Clarkson for your birthday? Answer: Your brother, brother-in-law and dad giving their wifes tickets too! We jammed.

kcblog2 kellycblog1 Spencer has been in scouts since September. He loves it. I'm pretty sure his enthusiasm will diminish as he gets older, but for now we are going to soak it all in and enjoy it! This was his first pinewood derby. I'm pretty sure Joel was more nervous than Spencer. It didn't help that when they got to the church, Joel found out that he had sanded the wrong side of one of the wheels and had to take it apart. They also had to adjust the weight. No bueno. However, Spencer still took 4th place which he was happy about. I don't know a lot about scouts, but I love it!

I love general conference because we get to hear from our beloved prophet. PresMonsoncolor5x7

I also love going to Moroni to visit my mom and dad. We all cram around the TV, eat good food, and try our best to keep the kids quiet and listening. There are a lot of us, but it makes for some good memories!
