President's Day with the Johnson's

Megan and Ray are by far our most frequent guests. We love it when they come to visit. It's becoming a President's Day weekend tradition. It started about 7 years ago when we moved to Milford. In the beginning, we just had Spencer, so there was plenty of time for playing games and relaxing. Memories from earlier years include throwing pillows at Spencer and knocking him to the ground. That sounds so mean, but he loved every minute of it. He was 2 or 3 years old. There was also the time when Spencer got a hold of Joel's hair clippers and decided to use them on his hair. We were playing a game at the time and he came upstairs with so much enthusiasm to proudly show us what he had done. Luckily, he didn't go crazy with them. He was just missing a small patch of hair on the top.

Now we have a total of 5 little boys.   It's a little more crazy, but just as fun.  We even slipped in a couple of games of spades and watched Man from Snowy AND Return to Snowy River.  Ray had never seen them and Joel can practically quote every line from both movies.   We played some games with the kids too.  Mckay has been a little obsessed with puzzles lately, so Megan brought a few and that kept them entertained for a while.   On Saturday, we decided to go up to Eagle Point to go tubing.  I have been waiting all winter to go tubing or sledding, but we haven't had very much snow.  They just barely opened the tubing run a couple of weeks ago.  It was a nice day to be in the snow and it is beautiful up there.

Cole and Jack liked the snow for about the first 15 minutes and then they were done.
