(Everyone in the van driving somewhere in Utah County)
Joel: something...something..buttload...something (I can't remember)
Ty: Dad, what is a buttload?
Joel: A buttload is a whole bunch or a lot.
Several minutes go by...
Ty: Dad, there are a buttload of people in the city.
And yes, we are rednecks!
Not sure why I wrote about all of that, but I guess if future generations of Slade's have the word "buttload" in their vocabulary, they will know why.
December was filled with a lot of fun memories and traditions, starting with the advent calendar. I think they like this just about as much as Christmas morning!
This year we went and got a small tree for the boys to put in their room. They loved it.
A few days before Christmas we headed to Moroni. My mom and dad made a prime rib dinner for everyone and it was so very delicious!
We decided to do a white elephant exchange this year too. Christy is known for coming up with the best stuff and did not disappoint with her HAMPSTER!! One of the kids opened it and I knew that Spencer would trade for it. From Emily's reaction, it was clear it was not going with the Dyches'! Spencer ended up with the hampster, but forgot to put the lid on the box that night and it escaped..lucky hampster!
Mom and Dad gave us DVD's that had our home videos from growing up. My dad has always been so good at taking pictures and videos. We used to watch them on a film projector, but couldn't watch them very much because we were afraid they would get ruined. My dad had all of them transferred from the film to digital files and then put them together on DVD's for all of us. They are priceless.
Kissing cousins..LOL!
