Women's Conference, Red Mesa and Mother's Day

Still playing catch up...story of my life.  Oh well.

In April I got to go up to Women's Conference at BYU with my mom and sisters.  It was a nice break.

In May, Joel and the boys went to Colorado with "The boys".   He wanted to show the boys were he grew up.  They had this planned for quite a while.  Ryan drove out from California and Josh flew out from DC.  Micah had to work.  The older cousins also got to go with (Seth, Alex, Jace, Spencer, Jacob and Ty.)   Spencer and Ty were so excited!   From hearing them all talk, the highlights of the trip would be:
*getting stuck in the river
*losing their shoes in the river (they were able to find Spencer's, but Alex wasn't so lucky)
*Aunt Chris' cooking
*Building a fence down by the river for "the ranch"
*Spencer tumbling down a steep rocky hill
*Climbing the silo
* and Ty came home with a new favorite cousin..Alex. He has blessed him in his prayers ever since.
Spencer wrote about it in his school journal. It cracks me up.  I love the drawings and his response to his teacher calling him crazy.

Spencer colorado journal

Just to clarify. Spencer didn't crack his head open climbing the silo. I believe it was from tumbling down the steep rocky hill. From the stories, it sounds like they may have lacked some adult supervision...."ya think"....

I told Joel to take lots of pictures. Ya right. He took like 15. To him, that's a lot.  I can't believe how much weight Ty put on in the month after he was diagnosed.  He had quite the appetite.

It was Mother's Day weekend that the boys went to Colorado. Not sure how that happened, but I'm pretty sure Joel still owes me a "redo". Jack and I went to my mom's. mothersdayblog
